How to get rid of a toxic friend:

I, myself, have dealt with lots of toxic friends and let me tell you it’s not fun. I’m the kind of friend that makes sure my friends are okay and happy before myself. Though that was actually killing me and I was always trying to help this one toxic friend and I was actually draining myself, I was getting exhausted, stressed, and overwhelmed because I wanted to make sure that person was okay. Then I told myself that’s enough, you need to get rid of this person and that’s what I did. Now I’m more happy, less stressed and focusing on myself more slowly. To get rid of a toxic friend you have to see the signs. Don’t expect them to change, they really aren’t going to change. I find they aren’t motivated to change, they are only motivated by their own complex problems and needs. You have to maintain boundaries, they will drain your resources by constantly pushing you to work harder to please them. That is what was happening with me,, I was 24/7 trying to please and make sure this person was alright but they never were.  It gets exhausting after a while. They will always “need you” because they are always in crisis but don’t be pulled into that. They like to create drama in order to attract more attention, but
remember this the next time you’re asked to run to their side. You might feel bad, but remember that you’re not dealing with a person in distress. You have to stay focus on you, turn your attention to you cleaning up your stress and emotions in your life. If you spend all your time trying to figure out a toxic persons negative behavior they’ll suck all your resources even if they aren’t in your life anymore. Telling them you want out of their life, you know they will try everything possible to get you to stay. They hate being ignored and they are very good at controlling and manipulating you.
They may increase their previous tactics tenfold, but eventually, they will back off and look elsewhere to meet their needs. Always remember to not give in when their behavior escalates, you have to remind yourself that you are teaching this person that their old behavior will not work. Lastly surround yourself with healthy relationships and  great friends that make you happy.
Remember always take care of yourself before others, your mental health is more important!!

Why going to a uniformed school is good:

A lot of people could go both way with this subject but my personal option I think uniformed schools are the best. With going to a uniformed school you don’t have to worry or stress about what to wear the next day, you don’t have wear to top notch clothes because it is always a competition with dressing.  After school you can change into your own style. Yes uniforms cost money but 100% worth it. In a uniform school you can focus on learning and not clothing because when you go to school with non uniforms you have to make sure you have the best of the best, or you have to make sure it fitting right. When the new year comes for school you need to buy a back-to-school wear but with uniforms you don’t have to do that maybe a new sweater. Everyone fits in, everyone is wearing the same brand, same colours.  I would say uniform bring safety into the school halls because in schools, adolescents are killing each other over designer jackets and expensive sneakers. With school uniforms, incidents of theft and assault are down. Uniforms help eliminate violent crimes. Teenagers who have low self esteem uniformed schools can help them by eliminating external differences that may once have led to students being tease.  They will feel more welcomed and will attend school more than they usually did. Uniformed schools bring an image of success to students and teachers.

5 things to do when you wake up to make your day more productive!!

No one is usually a morning person…if you are I’m jealous, I’m totally not a morning person until like 10 am. The 5 things 100% make my morning way better, even if I have to wake up at 6am, but I feel like when I go to school my brain is awake and aware of what is happening around me. Your probably wondering what the 5 things are:
Resist the snooze button: As much as you hate waking up in the morning and having to start your day,, your going to have to start it something. Giving yourself a few extra minutes of sleep may seem like your doing good for your body, but in the long run you’re probably doing more harm.
those 10 extra minutes of shuteye tend to be low quality, light sleep since it’s not long enough for your body to make it through another sleep cycle. Crazy right!
Drink water: Well drinking water add a lemon, or ice. When we sleep at night we get dehydrated. A glass of water in the morning helps your body in the morning replenish your body. Drinking water starts your metabolism on the right foot.
Get outside in the sun: If you already workout in the morning, and you want to do something different, try doing outside in the sun. When you go outside in the sun, you are telling your body that it is time to start the day. Going outside in the air and in the sun can also trigger emotions, the feeling of happiness.
Eat breakfast: This one is the most important on here. Eating breakfast gives your body energy, so eating breakfast is one the most energizing thing you could do. In the morning your body can actually turn the calories you eat into energy that you use in the morning.
Relaxing or meditating: I would say this is the most favourite thing to do. Even doing outside makes it 100% better letting the nice fresh air  hitting my face. In the morning they can be a period of manic rush, I would say. Relaxing or meditating just for 5-10 minutes, 10 minutes is better. It helps stabilize your mind and equip you to fight any stress that you may have coming your way that day.
Always remember to stay with your routine, don’t mess it up

Love is overrated….

What a topic, a topic I would never do but it’s love. Love is overrated, society’s obsession with romantic love, the thought that one day you will find the “Perfect one”, that 100% a myth of modern life. First of all, adults should know that, but adults and teenagers don’t because adults are always saying to teens that they will find the “Perfect one”. People say we should follow our heart and not our head but I find if people follow by their heart they act and behave like dummies. Most people remember their first crush, their first relationship, their first “meet cute” story, and they will always have that in their mind and heart. You won’t find you “perfect one” because they don’t exist, it’s not a Cinderella story here, I’m sorry but it’s the truth. Your “perfect one” might be with person you never even get along with in the first time you meet. People allow themselves to fall into this grip of some obsessive romantic fantasy that doomed them to depression. Please don’t do that to yourself!!! There isn’t a Prince Charming for every women out there, there is no princess to save and fall in love with. Yes, love can be beautiful but I would say it mostly pointless, true love doesn’t exist. I know I can’t really talk about this topic much because I haven’t experienced love really but I seen what has people who think about love as this big thing, “falling in love, finding the perfect one”. I’ve seen people fall in love and become broken, and they became stuck on  that one person because they “loved” them. There is more than one kind of love though, most people I feel
experience to joy of family love and companion love. Romantic love takes lots of work and not all couples can’t make it last because you got to change passionate love to compassionate love.
Love has brainwashed people…

Living with Migraines

I don’t usually talk about anything personal on this blog, but I really wanted to talk about this subject, ‘Living with migraines’, I wanted to tell how it was like. First I wanted to say this photo pretty much explains how my migraines are they are like a thunder storm on the left side of my brain. Pounding, sitting in a dark room, taking high medication from doctors. I get my migraines from eating certain foods like anything dairy, gluten, celery, eggs and lots more…..I know that sounds like it sucks. It really does because I can’t eat anything pretty much. For me having migraines its living off meats, rice, and veggies, lots and lots of doctors appointments, acupuncture, and medication. I miss a lot of school which means I get low grades. I wish I didn’t get migraines but it’s life and I have to deal with it. Let me tell you what I hate most having migraines is probably having to take 8 different medications(4 in the morning and 4 at night), just to help my migraines. It’s crazy, don’t you think?. The doctors appointments and CT scans almost every month, it is tiring, sitting and hearing the same thing from the neurologist, saying “If you don’t take your medication, it is going to get worst”, Yes I already know this you tell me every time, you get what I’m saying it’s annoying. My migraines last for almost 72 hours that’s three days!!!Since everyone is different people get migraines different than others, but people who do get migraines it is usually from the weather or eating certain foods.

Social Media: What it has done:

Hmmm, let me think about it, a simple definition of social media is…..that defines us now, you have to have the most friends, and get the most likes to be popular. If you don’t get enough likes you delete the photo. People fill up their camera role to get the “Perfect” photo to post on some social media app. Social media is something that has taken over today’s world generation. It very sad to be honest, it takes over everyone’s lives from Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter and so many more. It is place that also has cyber-bullying and most teenagers don’t do anything because they are afraid. I would say with social media a lot people have many fake friends, they are all two faced. To be honest I am two faced. There is days I post on my social media and I find myself looking at others peoples photos, their likes, their comments on their photo. Then I put comments into my head like “Maybe my photo isn’t good enough”, “Maybe I won’t get that many likes”. It makes me sad that I think that way but makes more mad their are popular girls or boys out their feeling it way more than I am.
When did this society become like this…..

How Animals are Making the World a Better Place:

I am a full on animal lover, if I could live on a farm and own a bunch of animals, I  totally do it but one I’m not rich and two I’m not old enough to buy a farm and own a bunch of animals. Okay back on the topic of how animals are making the world a better place, this is soooo true. Animals do a lot from just them being a house pet to being service dogs, to being work dogs(like police dogs). Animals give people lots of comfort, dogs and cats have senses to know when their owner is having grief or other emotions. They are good at sensing when something is wrong or your having troubles. I would say animals have a lot of respect for their owners. I would totally suggest you get a pet they are the best thing in the world!!!

My perspective of “The purpose of education”

The main purpose of school is that it is the pipelines to get into the workforce. It is a place for kids and teenagers to develop skills to get into a good college or university, get a good job, and put a leg up to society. Some parents who see that their kids is getting low test scores means that the education system is failing but then there is other parents who think/argue the education system is to install kids with the kinds of values, empathy, appreciation for diversity. I feel like teachers and school share the similar role. When students go to school, they all come from a different background, who took care of them at home, how much they saw them(whoever was taking care of them), who was at home, what their job was. All these factors make the student different person from another person. I feel like school is a place where I learn about other peoples cultures, where they come from and they learn about mine. In school of course you have your sciences, math, and learn how to write. If don’t do it when your young you might not do it when your older. So if you sit beside and kid in your class and you never talk to maybe because he is different or a different culture, you won’t go talk to someone when you get older in life. I feel teachers create a space where students can fail, because most kids say “Okay, I failed. I’m not going anywhere in life, I’m dropping out”, but they should have a different mindset “Okay, I’m gonna try again, but in a different way”.  The role of school is to educate me, so when I go into society I can become productive. I can educate someone else, who can be the role model. I find a teachers role is to engage the students and find what makes the student interested in the subject, but also to test our knowledge.

Effective exercises: your fitness is just around the corner!

Some people have find it very difficult to exercise or never find time to exercise. I’m one of those people 100%, I never find time to exercise which I wish I could. When I do find exercise I love doing these effective exercises.
I already do some of these exercises on a daily basis and you might be too:
Walking: You do walking every single day in your life. Any exercise you do should start with an cardiovascular exercise, by doing this you are strengthen your heart and warming up your muscles. Walking you can do at anytime, anywhere, with no equipment.
Squats: Squats are a good exercise to do because they work on the quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutenous. To do a good form squat, you need to  keep feet shoulder-width apart and back straight. Bend knees and lower your butt.
Push ups: If you do a push up correctly it can actually strengthen the chest, shoulders, triceps, and even the core trunk muscles, all at one time. A push up can be down at any level of fitness. There is many ways to make a push up harder but only do a push up at your difficultly level.
Bent-over Row: I love this exercise the most because it works on all major muscles of the upper back as well as the biceps. You can do this exercise with weights or no weights, but if you are beginner you should perform them without weights until you get the hang of the exercise.
Technique: I know technique isn’t a exercise but to do these exercises and want them to help you, you need to have good, strong technique. If you do the exercises with a good technique, the exercise will do what it suppose to do. If you have poor technique can change the whole exercise by putting emphasis or even strain on different areas than intended.
